There are a number of meetings and activities that occur on a regular schedule. Here's a listing by activity and organization! Please let Mary at the Library know of any other listings. . .

Community Activities

Human Resources Rummage Sale (next to the Human Resources building)  Every month on the second Saturday of the month. Proceeds benefit Human Resources programs.

Silent Meditation (Old Schoolhouse) Mondays from 5:45 to 6:45 pm; doors open at 5:30 pm.

Gentle Yoga  (Old Schoolhouse) Call Nancy Fricchione for more information.

Thursdays at 4:15pm and Mondays at 4:00pm

 

Heat Yoga (Community Garden Yoga Greenhouse) Call Jeanne Ferris for more information.

Sundays at 7:00am in the summer, 8:00 am in winter.

 

Library Pre-school and Toddler Story Hour (Arivaca Library)   Thursday mornings at 10:30 am

 

Summer Reading Program programs for children sponsored by the Library (at Community Center) Wednesdays at 1 pm starting in June. (You do not have to be enrolled in the Parks and Rec program)

 

Girl Scouts, for all ages of children.  Contact Patti Hanson for more information.

 

Teatime for Seniors (at Arivaca Christian Center)  Fridays from 1 - 3 pm

 

Live Friday Night Music about 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Gadsden Coffee during the warm months; in the winter find us at the Community Center!

 

Arivaca Parks And Recreation Programs

 

Cancer Support Group meets at the ACC on Wednesdays at 12:15 pm

 

Senior Exercise Classes (Community Center)

In June and July on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30pm

 

Senior Hiking Club on Mondays at 8 am.  Call Ellen at the Arivaca Community Center for more information.

 

Senior Outings (various!)

One trip per month. Please call Community Center at 398-3010 or Human Resources at 398-2771 for trip information.

 

Summer Creative Play Recreation (ages 5-12) & TOTS (ages 3-5) (Community Center) Mondays & Wednesdays from 9 am to 12 pm.

Family Nights (Community Center)

These are held the second Saturday of each month from 5-9 pm. Bring a dish and your family and join us for a great evening of family fun! Call Ellen at 398-3010 for more information.

Friends of the Arivaca Library (Arivaca Library)

Board Meeting on last Saturday of the month at 3:00 pm

Books for Sale by Friends of the Arivaca Library in the Library's meeting room anytime the Library is open.

Book Club meets monthly, usually on the last Saturday of the Month at 2 pm, call for info (398-2764)

 

Arivaca Family and Community Education Assn. (Old Schoolhouse)

Meetings on Second Saturday of the month at 2 pm at the Old School.

 

Arivaca Volunteer Fire Department (Fire Station) Board Meeting on 2nd Thursday of the month  at 7 p.m.

 

Arivaca Pioneer Cemetery Association.  Annual meeting and cleanup held in October. This year's meeting will be on October 20.  Potluck at about 11:30 followed by meeting.  Contact Tony Prevor at 398-2303 or any board member with burial requests.

 

Arivaca Water Cooperative Assn.  Monthly board meeting on Second Saturday of the month at 9 am at the Water Coop Building. 

 

Arivaca Clinic Meeting (AAHS) monthly meetings are usually the last Wednesday of the month at 7 pm at the Clinic. 

 

Carivaca Assisted Living Home
Board meets the First Thursday of the month at 6 pm at Carivaca, 398-9792.

Arivaca AA Meeting Saturdays at 8am next to Gadsden coffee.

 

Mobile Market will be at the Amado Community Food Bank at Amado every other Tuesday morning from 9-12. Low cost groceries, everyone welcome! Cash and food stamps accepted.
